For electrical.

  • Fitted while a new home is built, light fittings, chandeliers included, and EV charging points count as building materials, zero rated with the work where VAT Notice 708’s conditions are met.
  • A contract to repair wiring that includes any making good to the building, such as plastering over chases, brings every payment under it into CIS (HMRC CISR14090).
  • Power lines run to outside lights away from a building’s walls are works forming part of the land, which puts them inside CIS (HMRC CISR14090).

Sent from the office, paid online.
