• In England, a private landlord must have the C1 and C2 items on an EICR put right, and FI items investigated, within twenty-eight days of the inspection or any shorter time the report sets.
• Under BS 7671, a socket or light point added to an existing circuit goes on a minor works certificate, one for each circuit. Work that adds a circuit needs an Electrical Installation Certificate.
