What an invoice in Ireland shows.

  • The date it is issued, and a number in a sequence
  • Your full name, address and VAT registration number
  • Your customer’s full name and address
  • What was supplied, how much of it, and the date it was supplied
  • The price of each line before VAT, and any discount
  • The VAT rate on each line, and the VAT at each rate
  • Under the reverse charge, the sentence that says so and your customer’s VAT number, with no VAT charged

For flooring.

  • Revenue rates carpet and floor vinyl at 23% when they are sold on their own.
  • Carpets laid to complete a new or refurbished building come under RCT.
