For plumbing and heating.
- Part L asks for room or zone temperature controls, such as thermostatic radiator valves, when a heating system is replaced. An emergency boiler swap can leave them to the next planned upgrade.
- Technical Guidance Document L asks for a cylinder thermostat that shuts off the heat at the set temperature, and for the cylinder’s hot pipes to be lagged for at least a metre.
