Rounds every four, six or eight weeks.

With Repeat on the New job sheet, a house is booked every 4, 6 or 8 weeks under How often, until a date up to a year ahead. Each clean becomes a job of its own and is invoiced on its own.

Each house at its own price.

On a priced job, Repeat this job asks What each repeat bills, so a one-off conservatory roof clean can be left off the repeats. For an agreed price, Agreed with and How record who agreed the repeats.

The day’s calls, printed or emailed.

Print the day sheet on the schedule gives each person a page of their calls in time order, with customer and address. Email the day sheet sends one person theirs as a PDF, with any called-off clean struck through.

Cash at the door, recorded.

Cash taken at the door is recorded on that clean’s invoice with Record a payment, as Cash. Cash taken on Friday can be typed in on Monday and dated Friday, under The day it arrived.

Paid from a text, with nobody home.

With Send by text as well as email on, an invoice that can be paid by card is texted as well as emailed, with a link to pay. The card payment goes to your own Stripe account.

Window cleaning’s own Revenue entry: 13.5%.

Revenue’s VAT rates database lists window cleaning by name, at the reduced rate. The office charges that rate by default once you are VAT registered, a principal contractor’s cleans included.

Questions, answered.

Can a customer skip one clean without leaving the round?
Yes. Cancel the job on that date’s job calls off that clean alone, and the rest of the round stands. Stop from here calls off every clean from that date on. If the person at the address was emailed those dates and appointment emails are still on, one email says which cleans are off, and its calendar file takes those dates out of the diary.
Are customers told before every clean?
Yes, by default. When a round is booked, the person at the address is emailed once with how often it repeats and a calendar file of every date up to a year ahead. A reminder email goes the evening before each clean. With Send by text as well as email on, both are texted to that person’s mobile too. Switching off Appointment and reminder emails on a customer stops the emails and the texts for that customer.
Is each clean invoiced automatically when it is done?
No. Once its work is marked finished, a clean waits under Not yet invoiced until Draft the invoice on its row drafts that clean’s invoice. A day’s finished cleans can be chosen in the Table on Jobs and drafted in one go with Draft the invoices. Each draft is then sent on its own.
Can customers on a round pay by direct debit?
No. Nothing collects a clean’s money from a customer’s account by itself. Each clean’s invoice waits for your customer to pay it, and by default an overdue one is chased by email.
