A survey’s clips are filed against a visit on the job, as MP4 or QuickTime video up to 200 MB each. The Job report prints the visit photos and says how many videos were taken.

A Choice on your survey sheet can grade each drain run green, amber or red. Signed, the sheet files an amber run at the address as a Minor finding and a red one as Dangerous, which Findings lists first.

A customer On account, such as a letting agent, is emailed a statement each month there is anything on it. With Refuse invoices past the limit, no invoice is issued that takes the customer past their Credit limit.
Septic tank emptying at the zero rate.
Emptying a septic tank or cesspool is zero rated unless it serves an industrial business, such as a factory or a building firm. Clearing and jetting drains are 20%. The emptying can be its own Zero rated line.
Questions, answered.
- Which drainage work comes under CIS?
- Installing a building’s drainage is construction under CIS, and HMRC counts that drainage out to where it joins the main sewer. Building, altering or repairing a sewer is construction too. Repairing, servicing or maintaining a building’s drainage on its own is not. The unblocking, jetting, emptying and plant service kinds of work have Construction work unticked, so they are never reverse charged.
- Does it remind customers when their septic tank needs emptying?
- No. A septic tank or a treatment plant gets no due date from any pack, so no service reminder is ever sent for one. Once a kind of work such as septic tank emptying has Done on an appliance ticked, a tank can be kept at its address with its make, model and serial number.
- Does it produce a CCTV drain survey report?
- No. There is no drain survey report format, and nothing reads the report or data files that survey software writes. A survey sheet you build can take a row for each run between chambers, in a section asked As rows the engineer adds.
- Can it keep our waste carrier registration on file?
- No. A waste carrier registration is not among the registrations it keeps, and a firm cannot add a scheme of its own.
