Drive, path and patio can each be a Section of lines priced per square metre. Edging or lighting can be an Optional extra. Your customer ticks one or both, types their name and pays any deposit by card to accept.
HMRC’s list of construction work under CIS names access works such as drives, and the repair and resurfacing of roads. A patio laid for a contractor is construction too.
HMRC zero rates a ramp built for a disabled customer’s access to their home, and widening an existing path across their garden. The relief never covers a vehicle driveway.
A photo filed on a visit can be marked During the work. The Job report drawn when the job is completed prints those photos between the before and the after, so the dig-out and sub-base stay on record.
A supplier bill keeps its PDF or photo of the bill, and you name a Job on each line. A month of stone, sand and blocks splits across the drives that way, and each job shows its share as Billed by suppliers.
