Questions, answered.

Are spare tiles sold without fitting at 13.5%?
No. Tiles sold without fitting, such as spare boxes for later repairs, are goods at 23%. On a householder’s quote or invoice they can be a Separate, standard rate line, charged 23% whatever rate the fitting takes.
Where does the cost of the tiles come from?
From the price book. A tile picked there brings its Cost, ex VAT onto the quote line. A Materials line typed without a part has no cost recorded, so its price stands in for the cost when the VAT rate is decided.
Can a regrout or a tile repair have a set price?
Yes. Regrouting and resealing can keep its own priced lines at a Fixed price under Billed. Its jobs opened without a quote start with those lines as their Agreed price.
