Built around the work.

The boiler’s plate, on file.

Filed as an Oil boiler, an appliance holds its type, where it is, its output, burner and nozzle. Once a Warranty runs to date is in, the customer is emailed three weeks before the cover ends.

A service record from the start.

Every firm is given one. It takes make, model and serial from the boiler and asks for the filter, seals and gaskets, CO/CO2 ratio, meter used and a signature on site. Smoke number and pump pressure can be added to it.

Old boiler out, its history kept.

Under Where it stands, a boiler that came out is set to Replaced. It stays at the address with its sheets, and its service and warranty emails stop. The new boiler is an appliance of its own.

OFTEC self-certification, on the job.

In England and Wales, an OFTEC registered installer self-certifies installation work, warranted against building regulation non-compliance. Add a certificate records the certificate number and the certifier.

20%, and 5% for the share a grant pays.

A VAT-registered firm’s oil boiler work goes out at 20%. Only the share a grant pays, in the home of someone 60 or over or on certain benefits, is 5%. A Separate, reduced rate line carries it.

Questions, answered.

Does it fill in OFTEC’s CD/10 or CD/11 forms?
No. Neither form is built in, and building control is not notified. A sheet you build holds your own questions, with readings, units and limits.
Can I keep the oil tank on file too?
Yes. What it is takes any words, so an oil tank can go at the address beside the boiler. The tank holds its own make, model, serial and dates. The customer is emailed about its warranty as for the boiler. The yearly service date belongs to the boiler alone.
Does it record whether a boiler burns kerosene or gas oil?
Not among the boiler’s own details. A sheet you build can ask for the fuel in a Text question.
