Install quotes with a battery as an extra.

A battery or bird mesh can be an Optional extra. Your customer ticks what they want, types their name and pays any Deposit by card on Stripe’s page to accept.

0% on a home, 13.5% on a business.

Panels, battery and wiring supplied and fitted on a home in one contract are 0%, and each line can be Zero rated. On a shop or farm building, the install is 13.5%, subject to the two-thirds rule.

Each inverter and battery on record.

An inverter, a battery or the array can be kept on the site with make, model and Serial number, since What it is takes any words. Your customer is emailed three weeks before each one’s Warranty runs to date.

The MPRN and the roof, on the site.

Each site has its own MPRN, which ESB Networks’ NC6 form asks for. Photos of the roof, the meter and the consumer unit from the survey can be kept on the site under Photos.

Questions, answered.

Does it handle SEAI grants or the NC6 form?
No. Nothing is sent to SEAI or to ESB Networks, and neither form is built in. A commissioning sheet you build can ask Reading, Photo and Signature questions, and a Test instrument question records the meter used.
I fit panels for another installer. Is my invoice zero rated?
No. Revenue rates installation work a subcontractor does for another installer at 13.5%, not 0%. The installer’s own supply and install to the householder stays at 0%.
Is the deposit on a zero-rated install charged VAT?
No, once the install is priced. A quote’s card Deposit, or an invoice raised as A deposit before the work or A stage payment, is split over the VAT rates of the priced lines. Where every line is Zero rated, the whole amount is at 0%. With no price or work on a householder’s job yet, either invoice is at 13.5% once you are VAT-registered. The final invoice takes the deposit off at the rate it was charged.
Can it design the system or estimate its generation?
No. There is no roof layout, shading check or generation estimate. The system is quoted as lines, such as the panels, inverter, battery, scaffold and labour.
